Hello, Im currently using asus gtx 960 strix (by default @ gaming mode). Temps while gaming are 59 -61. I was wondering if I change to OC mode - would that increase my temps a lot (because I am already using small case). Btw maybe its kinda useless using gaming mode (@ 960 strix since I loose some power juice)?. I mostly play graphics demanding games: gta 5, witcher 3, far cry 4, batman ak etc.

i have the asus directCU the oc version in the asus app u can choose an OC profile or oc it yourself, when u overclock you increase the power of your device that means it needs more power, and also it means a higher temp, the temp depends on the amount u OC your card, a little OC increase will not increase temp alot.

Yes I know I have asus gpu tweak for that. I mean whats the point of these modes (gaming or oc mode) because other asus cards are running at their max core clocks by default (not talking about extra manual overclock since u can do this on this card as well by adding some mhz to oc mode frequencies). My point is why would anyone want to use lower frequencies instead of higher and get more fps. I am asking because I see those modes only on some asus vgas.
