Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 Ti Asus Strix Vs Gigabyte Gaming G1 wich one I should buy and why?

So helpful! Although you know... The Strix also has 3 fans.

But anyway, you really can't go wrong with either one. Personally i'd be picking between the G1 or the MSI Gaming card. The Strix seems to not cool as well as the other cards. I went with the MSI Gaming because it is more quite than pretty much all the other after market cards and still gets good overclocks and temps ( i have mine running at 1441Mhz and max temps are right around 75c)

I think typically the G1 overclocks better but it is louder.

They are all within 1-3% of each other.
The Core clock on the G1 is 1190, the MSI is 1178, Asus Strix is 1216.

My MSI gaming at stock clocks boosted to 1340 ish. They will all vary between 1300-1400 boost give or take.

In review I see that New windforce 3x its cooling about 600W and gtx 980 ti strix directcu III its cooling just 250W so, gbt 980 ti gaming g1is going to live longer? What do you think? Did worth buy the strix even it have more gpu clock? Im going to suicide

It is just luck on how well each overclocks... Factory overclocks on aftermarket cards are all pretty close... Here is a list of what one site did for max overclocks

ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX 1472 MHz 2070 MHz
Palit GTX 980 Ti JetStream 1515 MHz 2100 MHz
ZOTAC GTX 980 Ti AMP! 1465 MHz 1990 MHz
MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 1507 MHz 2040 MHz
EVGA GTX 980 Ti SC+ 1491 MHz 1900 MHz
Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming 1512 MHz 2100 MHz
GTX 980 Ti 1437 MHz 2070 MHz
GTX Titan X 1298 MHz 2055 MHz

First number is core clock speed second number is memory speed.

I got yesterday my G1 Gigabyte GTX 980ti. And man am i impressed with the quality and perfomance! Temps dont go above 65 Celcius, which helps the card to go 1350+ core clock.. with nvidias boost.

There you have it then. ;)

Hopefully, the first number would mean the boost clock. Good summary though. :)

Yes that is boost clocks.

No love for the Palit Jetstream then?

From the table above it has very competitive clock and memory speeds. I can confirm it's stupidly fast and very capable (especially for a two fan cooler). When not under load it runs silently - there is some fan noise when gaming but you'll mostly have sounds going on in the background to drown this out.

As a curve ball, I'd highly recommend it.
