Recently purchased a refurbished Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI motherboard. Put my PC together, installed windows, everything came out fine except the USB ports. I thought I needed drivers or something to run my keyboard but then I tried plugging them into the usb ports in the front of my case and those work fine.

I've checked and double checked the drivers listed on the Gigabyte website for my motherboard and believe I've installed them all. I tried looking through my BIOS for an option Enabling/Disabling USB ports but I didn't see anything. I checked the device manager and there aren't any errors. I'm not sure what the USB ports should be labeled as in device manager so I can't say if they are there or not.

I just want to know if there is something I did wrong on my end, installation wise or software, or if its defective hardware. On the motherboard box there was a sticker saying "Return due to port malfunction" or something to that affect.

If it is the motherboard and I RMA it, can anyone suggest another motherboard for around $120?
