I've been having this issue for a while now but I have no idea how to solve it. I've ran malware bytes and McAfee security scan plus (I'm also scanning with MalwareBytes again as I type this to make sure I didn't miss anything) but when I search on google for example: "Hello" it will show normal search results but then 4 seconds later it will show the long bar of advertisement options (Like if you search best buy, it will show you some adds normally and will say Ads by Google) But instead of ads by Google it says "Ads by AdsAlert" for EVERYTHING I search for. Just read more into the sites it advertises occasionally and it seems to be fake phishing links like Sign up for Facebook but it takes you to a sketchy fake. :/

EDIT: It's gotten worse now i get popup ads, not in a seperate tab or window but one like on mobile, adblocker blocks them so its just a white box with an X in the top left. Again it says Ads by AdsAlert

Solution
go into the search in windows, type %temp% and press enter . delete every file you can in that folder.

go into your browsers settings and reset all settings. also delete personal settings.

run adw cleaner
https://toolslib.net/downloads/viewdownload/1-adwcleaner/
just select cleaning when scan is done.

restart machine and give it a try.
