Laptop turns off

i Have Lenovo G50 laptop and it's been 5 months before i bought it. I am writing the Specs below

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Single Language 64-bit

BIOS: 9ACN25WW

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4030U CPU @ 1.90GHz (4 CPUs), ~1.9GHz

Memory: 8192MB RAM

Internal Graphics Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family 2GB

External Graphics Card name: AMD Radeon R5 M230 2GB

I have a problem that when ever i play game after some times my laptop turns off automatically even it is plugged in for charge. And i have to start my laptop again....this happens only while playing game. and its not because of overheat m sure because i checked temperature is sumwhat around 65-70 degree..Please someone help me...

1) Verify that every driver, without exception is for your laptop - acquired either from Lenovo's support site, or from a rescue DVD
2) Try playing on Intel for a while and see if the problem occours

Hmmm usually this sort of case sounds like an overheating issue, but you said its running fine. It could be a drivers issue also (uninstall both Intel & AMD drivers, install Intel driver & reboot, install AMD driver & reboot etc). This guy had some driver issues with his g50 too

Also your GPU might not be getting the power it needs, ive seen cards shut down on load cause they cant be supplied with sufficient power. hope this helps

What does your Event Viewer (just search for it in Windows) logs say? Also you could enable Shutdown Event Tracker (Here is a link to enable it, and here is some more info on it) to see what errors are reported on the shutdown event the next time you game and it goes off.

Are your sure your games using the R5 M230 and not the internal Intel HD graphics? I think you can set the default one to use via Catalyst. Also try changing your power settings from Power Saver to something like High Performance or Balanced. This link might help
