My intel i5 3337u 1.8 GHz isn't hitting the 2.7 GHz turbo and in the past it would go that high. I need help!

My laptop:
i5 3337u 1.8 GHz
GT 740M 1GB
6 GB

The only game i run is BF3, and in the past it was running the game at 2.7 ghz under 100% load, but now under 100% load is only hitting 2.47Ghz

It is most likely throttling from heat.

Download CPUZ and Aida64 to see if my statement is correct.

Clean the insides of your laptop and get a laptop cooler and you should be good to go!

It is throttling from heat. Cleaning out your laptop would probably help. Make sure that your computer has access to fresh air.
There also are laptop coolers yoy can buy that cool you laptop if it is put on it by acting as a larger fan.
