Hello everyone, just wanted to share my problem and if there is a solution. I just build my own custom computer a month ago and it was running fine up until last week. It would restart on its own or just outright shut down. When it would boot up again the BIOS would say that it restarted due to anti-sure protection. If it would run, whenever I would play games the GPU gets too hot and it ends up restarting anyway. I think it is worth mentioning that it is the rainy season here in the Philippines where I live. There have been some thunderstorms which may have caused a power surge.

Now here is where it gets interesting. One morning the PC did not want to turn on. However, all other appliances in the house worked fine including those connected to the AVR (Monitor, lamp, and electric fan). Upon taking it to a repair shop, the technicians could find nothing wrong with it. It would power up immediately and show no signs of restarting. It performed well during stress tests and showed no problems during gaming. When I took it to a friend's house it also worked with no problems.

Returning home was a different story. It would not power on despite having plugged it into almost every outlet in the house. And this is just the power cord directly into the PSU. So I'm pretty confident that there is nothing wrong with my PC. Does anyone have any idea why this is and if there are any solutions? Thanks very much!

Hello celtic_warrior99, thanks for your reply. I suppose it's worth noting that we had an electrician come by the house earlier to check on it. He couldn't find anything out of the ordinary since all other appliances are working. And the AVR still reads 220v so there was nothing really suspicious. He couldn't find any problems so to speak.

Sorry for asking but is there anything in particular about the powerpoints we should be looking for? Thanks again for your reply!

I have actually and they seem to be working fine when used with other devices(printer). And it works just fine elsewhere.
