Can I do SLI with this power supply?

Solution

CX series is one of the lower tier PSUs from Corsair and 600w is probably not enough to power 2 970s.
I would recommend at least 700w. You are on the safe side with a good 750w PSU.
Somewhere in the forum was a tier list for PSUs. (dont have the link right now)

Because it barely has enough wattage. The TDP for the 970 is pretty low, but it can still suck down <200W. (And this is ignoring the "spike" issue which lead to Nvidia giving it up to 300W.) Two of these together will reach close to 400W, and I'm guessing another 100ish for the CPU. With a complete system drawing north of 500W you are simply to close to the edge of what the CX600 can do. You'd probably be ok with the CX750, but it's to much for the CX600. Corsair agrees with this because they only gave you 2x 6+2 on the power connections so you don't even have the power plugs to run both cards. (Your 12V rail tops out at 552W btw.)

if you want the best performance..i would say to upgrade the power supply...remember you are talking about sli..
the psu you selected is a tier 3 ...which is"good enough"...for a sli a tier 2 or 1 is recommended..that will surely increase your budget...but will keep your components running safe and long..
