Distorted graphics and blue screen!!

hello to everyone i have some issues with friends pc:
OS:Window 7 64bit
GPU:XT2600 ati radeon 512mb
Cpu:core2 quad 8200
when i open pc the and only bios shows with distorted graphics and when enter on windows pc
gets blue screen,and screen goes blank ,i make format but still get the same error,also notice when run
windows hard disk make checkdisk without me have scheduled nothing, plz help can be bad hard disk or bad gpu? windows run normal only bios and mobo welcome screen show distorted :(

Take the gpu out and plug your monitor cable straight into the motherboard so you are using the cpu's onboard graphics if it works then its your gpu.

Thanks for reply :)) i will check motherboard if have incorporated gpu
can be hard disk isuue cause i made format and windows making check disk when i reboot is that normal?
