Hi,

I am currently stuck on which RAM to buy. I'm going to be using my PC mainly for video editing and rendering so I need something which will be good for quick rendering speeds and multitasking. I will also be occasionally using it for gaming so which would be the better overall choice?

Solution
Heat no, that's not a problem,I've got full loads of 2666 and 2800 in my Haswells and there's no heat problems. The 2400 set would be fine, it runs at CL11, generally if specced to CL11 it runs at CL11, the 2133/9 set should faily easily run 2400 at CL10 (lower CL is better so the 2133 set is the better of the two

Hmm but would the RAM with the higher clockspeed produce significantly more heat?

Why wouldn't buying the 2400 set work and adjust just the timings instead? For both you'd need to increase voltage slightly probably.

VenoM193, In practice it doesn't really matter much. I would go for the cheaper one lol.
