Hi guys am buying a laptop to play modern game's like gta 5 or witcher 3. I need the cheapest laptop gpu (or cheapest laptop) that can run these games at low. Don't care if I'm only going to be able to play at low setting's but at least I need it to play at around 25fps.
please don't say buy a pc cause I move around alot so I need something portable.
BTW my budget is around $500 (£300)

It seems prices for laptops in the UK is pretty high.

For a "gaming laptop" I generally recommend at least a nvidia 840m or it's AMD equivalent; the Radeon R7 M370. The 840m is a decent mainstream graphics chip that should allow you to play most games with decent performance at 1366x768 resolution and medium graphics quality.

The following Acer laptop has a core i5-5200u and the for £600 (excluding VAT). That's pretty expensive compared to in the US ($937), but it seems to be a decent deal in the UK.

£300?! You're going to have a job getting a gamable laptop for that low.

Your best (only) budget option for a gaming laptop imo would be to get an AMD APU based laptop with either an 'A8' or 'A10' processor in it. Those have enough graphics power to run many games reasonably well.

Cheapest I can find quickly is this (it's a refurb but looks ok):

Or if you prefer new:

I still maintain an apu based laptop can play modern games at low settings ok. Far better than on Intel integrated. If you can stretch to a dedicated card do so of course, although they carry a price premium.

I'd suggest looking for refurbished gaming laptops on eBay. Managed to get my sister a Dell xps laptop for 500 a couple of years ago (same model from Dell New was 900) and it even came with a guarantee from the seller.

Depends on which integrated graphics cores you are comparing.

For example, the Radeon R7 (Kaveri) comes in two variants. The slower version is in the FX-7500 APU and it's performance is considered to be comparable to the Intel HD 5500 graphics core. The faster version is in the FX-7600p and is comparable to a nVdia 740m.

Nice find jaguarskx, that is a decent machine.

The reason I was suggesting the lowered A10 models was the ops low budget (you'll have a job to even find hd5500 in that price range).

The only thing I'm unsure on with that laptop is the fact it's using the low power 'u' variety of i5, a full fat 'm' chip would have a much higher base clock thanks to higher tdp, which would be a big benefit for games I think.
