motherboard: rampage 3 formula

if it is which cpu would you recommend getting? looking for something for price/performance

No, maybe if you had the higher end cards like the GTX980 and up you would gain noticeably. The 280X is just a renamed HD7970GHz which was top dog when your CPU was still top of the line.
