As the title states, I am getting the message "Install package failure" when trying to install Catalyst Control center. Updated my drivers to 15.7 and since then I've been getting that error. 5 hours later of troubleshooting and testing, still no luck.
Tried reinstalling everything, removing all ATI related folders in regedit in safe mode, used CCleaner 5 times, Driver Sweeper another 5 times, downloading and installing vcredistx86. None worked. Can someone please help?
Not sure if this would be any good information but I get this error message in event viewer "Product: AMD Catalyst Control Center -- Error 1406.Could not write value StartCCC to key \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. System error . Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.". Thanks for reading.
