Hello,
I bought a new MSI Nvidia GTX 970 100me card a few weeks ago and finally got a good setup using SweetFX+ReShade for Elder Scrolls Online to enhance the graphics which look really good. Now that I'm done I'm starting to actually play the game. Issue is I'm finding my card heating up for what-I-would-think to be no reason considering how strong the card is and with an i5-3570k backing it up along with Cooler Master 212 EVO help cool the CPU down. Not the best in the world of a setup but should be more than enough for playing ESO on max with these Shaders.

I thought it may have been a bad OC tweak I did so I put it back to stock settings through Nvidia Afterburner but I'm still getting up to 65 average and 68 tops. This isn't even in a major city with a bunch around either; just in the open with maybe NPCs around but not doing much. I suppose the Shaders may be putting on some weight but I would think even with these the card should handle it.

What may be wrong with my card? From the tutorials I've read if the temp of your GPU hits 67 that's bad when real world testing. I put fans full and still gets that hot. I've been told to only mess with the Core and Memory Clocks when OC from a guide. Is that true or do I need to mess with the Core Voltage as well? If so by how much each time? Thanks.

Your fan speed on the card might be to slow. You might want to go on the Internet and download MSI Afterburner. Its a overclocking device which you can change your fan speed there. Not sure if its the video card fan or not but hoping this helped. And if it didnt you might need more watts to run the video card and maybe that is why it is getting hot. I am not sure how many watts your video card needs but I think it needs more.

Thanks. I have messed with the fan already putting it 100% but unfortunately hasn't done much. Helps but not enough. I have been using Afterburner as well. From the guides I've read on OC the GPU, I've only been told to mess with the Core and Memory Clock. There is a voltage scale at the top of Afterburner. Is that the one you're mentioning to increase to give more power?
