How much do used custom computers go for?

Hello! I am currently thinking of selling my old custom built PC that I've built about 4 years ago (I'm going to university and I don't think I will have the room for a full tower PC :p).
Specs:
AMD Phenom II x6 1055t
8GB Ram
MSI NF980-G65
Win 7 Pro
GTX 570
1TB Western digital black
Corsair 750W. Modular power supply

I was wondering, about what should I sell it for, and where can I sell it?(Or would I get more $ from selling the used components separately?) (Ontario, Canada)

Thank you so much!
-Rob

Sell it on eBay.

Go on eBay for Canada, and see what similar-spec systems have sold for (ignore starting bid/Buy It Now prices).

It's in a bit of a no-mans land, in that if it were a bit older you'd get more selling the parts separately (people desperate to upgrade their own aging systems), and if it were a bit younger you'd get a reasonable price for it. As it is, you'll probably get more selling the parts separately if you can sell them all.

So take a look at eBay, see what it's worth as a system, and either hope for that or take a risk on breaking it up and selling the bits individually (which will take time).

Another possibility is selling it to someone from school, or to friends or family. Get our parents to ask around...

As an indication, a couple of similar spec systems have sold on eBay UK recently for $360-$440 CAD, although each included a monitor. If you're not including monitor, keyboard and mouse people are going to factor that in and you'll probably take more of a hit.
