Hello everyone! so I am planning on building a computer. I want it to be a gamming computer. I would like to know if there is a place that i can go that will show me what i need and what works well with what. I have almost no knowledge in this area.
If there are no places the specs i would like are
16GB ram
2TB Hard drive
a Good graphics card.
The rest doesn't really matter. Is there any help i can get?

Sorry for the long time to response. I don't have a budget. I don't want to spend a ton of money but i could always save more. And yes i am in the USA

Ok well this is my generic high end build template:

^^ That build would game very nicely on a 1440p monitor. We can go up or down from there.

Every thinng looks good. Now will this Run games such as Skyrim with out much lag? I also play a bunch of online stuff such as Leauge of legends where FPS mean a lot.
two more things; Can this be easy expanded? Like could i upgrade storage?
Also Where does the Proccesser sit compared to I5 and I7. I have never heard of that type.
One last thing can it handle dual screens? while streaming on twitch?
Sorry to ask all these questions i just would like the best computer for what i need

Yes this is a tremendous amount of processing power on both CPU and GPU.

That particular Xeon model is very similar to an i7. They are both Haswell quad-cores with hyper-threading for a total of 8 logical cores. The main difference is that the Xeon lacks integrated graphics so it's a bit cheaper than an i7. It does also have many workstation abilities as well but you probably won't use those if you are only gaming. It will be very useful for recording/streaming your gameplay in high quality.

You can add as much storage as you have ports on the motherboard, which is many. This board also has an M.2 SSD slot so I put an M.2 SSD in the build for use as your primary storage. Those are ridiculously fast.

You can also expand your graphics (SLI and Crossfire capable), and expand your RAM.

The board also has the top of the line Realtek ALC1150 for sound.

(I just swapped boards since the Asrock board was not SLI ready).

Everything is in a high quality case and I chose a high quality EVGA PSU (made by Super Flower on the acclaimed Golden Green platform.)

Now if Streaming is something very serious for you, I have my ultimate build which uses the Haswell E 6 core-12thread CPU (instead of the 4c8t xeon). It's a few hundred more. The Xeon will stream much better than an i5, but the Haswell E with more cores are even better for that.

What my "Elite Streamer" template looks like:

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Nepton 280L 122.5 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($95.98 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock X99 Extreme4 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($184.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($136.94 @ Adorama)
Storage: Crucial MX200 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($102.99 @ Mac Mall)

Obviously you change stuff around on your personal taste and it probably won't change the pricing too much.

You can also go much cheaper with an AMD 8 core CPU. They handle streaming quite well, but are mediocre at actual gameplay.

Everything on that looks awesome! It seems like it would be able to throw what i throw at it. But why the change to the i7? And the only thing i do not like is the case but i can swap that out right?

Yes that i7 has 6 cores/12 threads which is even better for streaming.

The case, yes you can swap it. Keep in mind that you need something fairly large to fit a big CPU cooler for that i7 since it doesn't come with a stock cooler. I put the pig liquid cooler but you can change that too.

That's a micro-atx case. I would have to change the motherboard.

I think this will do it:

It's just a smaller motherboard. It may have a few less fan controllers and ports than the full size ATX, but I double checked the major important stuff like PCIE slots, Audio, M.2, ect.

It has "4 x USB 3.0 + 4 x USB 2.0"

Wow sorry for the waaaay late comment but ive had a lot of stuff come up. Noo i do not really need a optical disc drive.
Is this build still viable?
