So I decided to try my hand at building a pc. Everything went well, the computer booted, beeped once, all fans and leds were working, the gpu led and fans were working, the optical drive was working, now all i needed to do was plug it into a monitor and get it set up. That was were it wouldnt display anything, after trying the removal of the cmos battery, reinsertion of ram and graphics card, plugging in of every cable to and from my psu, and still to no avail, there was no signal. I think it may have something to do with the adapter i am currently using, as i still have a vga style monitor .-., its a vga to hdmi adapter. If you guys have any suggestions all are welcome
i will be buying a dvi cable as it also accepts that, if not a new monitor later on.

my specs are
MB- Asus m5a97 le r2.0
CPU- Amd fx8350
PSU- Evga220-GS-0550 550W
RAM- Single G-skill ripjaws x series 8gb
GPU- Gigabyte Gtx 960 g1 gaming 4gb

I also bought the wrong MB thinking it was the regular m5a97 r2.0 but ive seen on here that it will be enough if i dont over clock for now. will upgrade later
