Strange Hard Drive Behavior

I have a Seagate SSHD hybrid drive 2tb size. Now my question I pose to you all is this. What would make a hard drive suddenly start spewing out NTFS and Atapi errors by the dozens and have it act like it failing completely, but then wait that's not all; once I remove the drive from the hotswap bay and plug it back in all acts perfectly normal for another month or two like nothing even happened. It seems to appear and disappear at random. What in the weird computer world could be causing this problem. I also previously had issues with my event viewer spewing out kernel power issues bit oddly enough that seems to have stopped. I haven't seen it happen in like 3 months. It would happen like once a month clockwork near the beginning and end of the month but never during the middle of the month.

Solution
your problem is seems like to be scheduled. i would suggest you to backup your all data to some other drive and format it and reset all the bios setting of the machine. the solution of this kind of problems is to starting from scratch.
Have you run any HDD diagnostics on the disk?

Also, just to put it out there, once you start having trouble with a disk (even if diagnostics don't currently detect a problem), it will rear it's ugly head one day and completely stop on you. Make sure you back up your files while you can.

It could be a controller issue too. If you stick another drive on the same controller and get similar errors, you may need a new motherboard (hopefully not).

Because your problems aren't consistently happening (e.g. you plug the drive in and it works for a month), I would think the problem is with the drive itself. My inclination would be to back up my data and get a new drive.
