"The previous overclocking had failed" shows up while booting though I didn't overclock anything!

After installing windows 8.1 on my desktop computer, sometimes an error shows up while booting.. I'm attaching a picture for this.. My config: Core 2 duo E7500
MSI G41 P26
8 GB RAM
ATI HD 7750

When turning on the computer and before push the reset button placed somewhere near your power button and it will reset the motherboard to it's original settings.

I tried resetting the BIOS to default settings but still this problem occurs... But one thing to be noted, this happens sometimes, there are no problems running the PC or whatsoever.

That is incorrect. The reset button just restarts the comp. Go into the bios and select load defaults.

I have seen that before on a stock cpu as well. The mainboard is just mis-reporting. You could try updating the bios.
