Since this morning my computer after about 5min on will start lagging uncontrollably
I'll try to explain such lag, every 10 sec it will totally freeze and after half a second return to normal.
During this my entire system stops working properly, programs take 3x as long to open and as soon as they open they stop responding
Also, I'm not able to turn the computer off without holding the power button
Restarting also doesnt work, it starts updating windows and freezes on 1/15

Specs:
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Basic 64-bit SP1
CPU: Intel Core i5 2320 @ 3.0GHz
RAM: 6GB
Graphics: Positivo Monitor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 620

Anything you guys need I'm willing to provide. I just need my PC back

Solution
Okay, what Anti-Virus are you running on this machine? (It's Probably Infected)
When was the last time it was reinstalled?
How long has the CPU Thermal Compound been on there without changing? (CPU is probably overheating causing the freezing)
Have you got a blower to clean this thing out? if you haven't had it serviced in along time its probably caped in dust inside.
Lemme know,

Jason

hey, thanks for the reply

As far as security goes i've been using that free one that microsoft provides, the security essentials.
Never reinstalled it.
The compound has never been changed.
Last time i cleaned it was this morning when all this started, but there wasnt much dust.
