Hi i've decided i want to upgrade from my A4 5300 to one of the folowing:
I5 4690(most likely non k one)
I7 4790 (non k)
Also i'm puting option on athlon x4 860k. I know it is weaker thank i5 by far but it is still upgrade from my a4 and oc on it to 4.5-4.6GHz will close the gap by enought for its performance to be fine.
But my biggest consern now is skylake (its price/performance and date) i have seen on net that i5 6600k and i7 6700k should get out in early august and that most of diference betwen i7 4790k and i7 6700k is in igc( up to 30%) while cpu parts that maters when you have graphic card is VERY close to haswell only few% diference. So what to do?

What is the main purpose of this machine? If its gaming, then just get the haswell, since the difference will really not be noticed, even if skylake turned out to be fantastic and performed >10% better. Ultimately the only reason to consider skylake over haswell right now would be if the new chipsets have things that are important to you.

I haven't looked around for rumors on the upcoming Skylake, but I would recommend waiting a month or two for it. It's possible that prices on current stuff will drop even if Skylake is out of reach in pricing or not very impressive.

Getting n Athlon x4 is a good upgrade, especially if you overclock it. If you don't want to spend the time and effort and the much higher price on switching to Intel, it will serve you well. Just make sure you have a good CPU cooler for it like a Cooler Master 612 or better.

If you use this only for gaming then stick with Haswell, just as the other poster said, if Skylake was out maybe do Skylake but to wait for it isn't really worth it. For gaming the difference will be negligible unless you're looking for a new gaming laptop, that's when Skylake becomes interesting to me because the upgrade in onboard graphics is compelling.

Even having said if you want to wait for Skylake to come out and see if the market is suddenly flooded with used 4790k's that others are selling off to upgrade to Skylake then you might find quite a bargain.

Well going Haswell is going to need a new MB as well, so you listed 3 options of a $200 chip + MB, a $300 chip + MB, or a $70 chip. Kind of hard to say what to do with that.

Are you gaming, what is your GPU, do you need a better GPU, what is your budget, etc, etc. Spend $70 or $400 isn't a very even comparison.

Intel really won't be dropping the price on the Haswell chips, if we consider the history of how Intel handles it anyway. But there might be a rush of used Haswell chips that can be gotten from those upgrading to Skylake, that's where the deals may be found.

Well don't forget there are hardcore overclockers out there who will buy 10 Skylake chips looking for the one that wins the silicon lottery and sell off the other 9 as used that don't overclock as well. When a new chip comes out it's good to try and buy used in that first month of it coming out, if you're gonna upgrade to it that is. I won't be personally.

I disagree with the others saying to just go Haswell. Haswell has been out for nearly 2 years. It isn't a bad chip in any way, but with Skylake this close I think it's worth the wait to at least see what it has to offer, especially considering that it is two generations after Haswell (skipping Broadwell). I know that it can be an issue with tech waiting on the next thing because there will always be something new just around the corner, but Haswell is a 2 year old architecture, and with skylake literally just around the corner I'd say it's worth it to wait for this one jump so you can build fresh with 2015 tech instead of 2013 tech.

Unreal engine, games and movies. For games and movies my curent pc is fine as i currently play path of exile which i can max out and play on rock solid 40fps with a4 5300 and hd 5570 but i want to be able to try new games such us dragon age. And unreal engine needs at least 4c cpu with 2.5GHz or more (according to epic) so i guess that any of mentiones cpus can be used there i guess and i might need new mobo for 860k as well as i have amd fm2+ 55 chipset mobo

You won't need a new motherboard for the Athlon K editions. You might need to update your current motherboards BIOS and maybe heavy overclocking needs a new motherboard. If you want to switch to Intel for a good i5 or i7, then you'll still need to spend a lot more money than that would cost. It's a matter of how much do you want to spend to get how great of an upgrade.

People are still using sandybridge and having very little if any bottlenecking in modern games. Sure Haswell is 2 years old but it wasn't till later on when DC was released that intel sorted out most of the weaknesses with haswell. It is common if not the standard for businesses to release a beta product on initial release and perfect it with follow up releases. My nissan g35 is an 2006 because the 2003-2004 had issues that were later fixed in the 2005-2007 and then the 2008 facelift came along and it started again.
CPU's are no different so DC would be my choice.
