hi there, so im helping a friend build a desktop which he needs for work, which his boss is funding which is about $2000. his job relys on using Photoshop and 3ds max for rendering and visual effects.
we picked out the parts for it and i was wondering if they are compatible and/or unnecessary and if so what would be a better replacement.
32 gb ram ~250i7 5820k ~$390
2tb hdd ~$80
gtx 980 ti ~$690
TC14PE fan ~$75
evga 1000 p2 ~$200
GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD5H LGA 1150 Intel Z97 ~$160
Rosewill R5 case ~$70
SanDisk Ultra II 120GB ~$60

Solution
A Z97 motherboard won't work with a 5820k CPU. You have to have a X99 motherboard. Your 32GB RAM will need to be DDR4 for that CPU/chipset.
