I have a Chieftec GPA-500S8 500W OEM PSU running with a Asus A58M-K mobo , AMD Athlon II X4 860K cpu , Asus R7 260X OC 2GB DDR5 R7260X-OC-2GD5 gpu. the psu makes a buzzing electric sound could it be the old cable which i used for my new pc for 6 years? this is a new pc and i dont wanna use the warranty already . sometimes it does 4 times a day sometimes it doesnt. also the pc freezes more if i have browser open with skype or just skype, but not when gaming. heat doesnt go over 65 celsius degrees on my gpu 70 on my cpu. i dont overclock, i underclocked the gpu to 850 memory mb. i tried different drivers too but same issue. Thanks for help i will reply as soon as i can, and i wont finish this thread until i can fix it!

If you think the PSU is having a problem, replace it immediately. When PSUs fail hard, they can damage other components.
This does sound like a PSU problem to me, double check to ensure everything is plugged in properly inside your case, but I have a feeling that isn't the issue. But in the past I have had computers missing a connection on the motherboard work in a semi-stable state for awhile.
The cord connecting the wall to the PSU is not likely to be the issue.
