gpu or cpu upgrade

task manager/ performance/ see if your cpu gets peged at 100% resources. This fx cpu can be compared to a 3rd generation I3. it actually shouldn't do to badly. I'd guess a video card might be good. probly would depend on the game your trying to play and other factors.

H! I have almost the same thing! I have an fx-6300 and a sapphire r7-260x. In my setup i often feel i am gpu limited. The next component i will be upgrading is my gpu for sure. The fx 6300 is a great cpu but i don't know how close the fx4300 comes in performance. All I can say is this, the games that are cpu limited for me are planetside2 in large battles (25-30fps), kerbal space program(not 60fps/ hard to gauge for different ships), and project cars(30 fps online 20 ppl at starting line). All games i run at medium settings to shoot for 60fps because of the gpu however. My point is the fx-6300 doesn't really bottleneck me as much my gpu does. Let's face it, planetside 2 is a sham for any cpu, kerbal is insane as well, project cars is just buggy. I'm not sure if this helps you, but good luck with whatever you decide!
