Should I change thermal paste after not seating cooler properly?

Basically, I put thermal paste, and set the cooler. But, for 2 days now, I noticed that the temps were too high, idling about 50-60c.

So, I realized that the cooler wasn't set properly, and now that I did, the temps are great, 30c idling, 40c gaming.

With that temps, should I still re-apply thermal paste or I'm ok as long as the temps are fine?

Those are very good temperatures, so you should not have a problem.

A good cooler once seated properly should not move, so maybe check the temps occasionally for the next few weeks, but if they're still fine then I would not worry about it at all.

Could my CPU be damaged cause of 2 days high temp?

Thanks!

no, CPUs have built in protection, they reduce the speed and voltage if temps get too high, it would have shut down the pc if it got to dangerous levels.
