I currently have an three parts of my pc that I want to replace overtime.

R7 260x to an R9 390
AMD FM2 A8-6600K to an AMD FX 8350
ASUS FM2 A88XM-A to an Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

So it'll take me awhile, but currently I can replace either my GPU or CPU & MoBo. My current setup is a very low budget gamepc, and I was wondering which I should replace first. Will the GPU be massively bottlenecked by the older Mobo and cpu? And as the title states, which is best to replace first?

Thanks in advance!

CPU and Mobo should typically be replaced first.

Then your graphics card but also most likely your power supply.

You're going to have one hell of a powerhouse with an FX-8350 and R9 390. An Intel CPU or an Nvidia GPU would save you some energy.

Upgrading to an FX8350 already makes a lot of sense for him. This CPU is pretty powerful. It depends on each person, but it is not as expensive as Intel CPUs are, so upgrading is not that of a big step, if you know what i want to tell you.

When Zen comes out he can upgrade ones again, without spending too much money on the FX8350 since it is not that expensive. I will do the same, although I have my FX8350 since release..
