Is it possible to be dosed on a 1.5mbps internet connection? Just curious.

Solution

Easily. If major companies with massive connections can be DDoS'd, a simple 1.5mb link could easily be slammed hard.

If someone knew the appropriate IP address, then a DDOS attack can be started. A 1Mbit line would just require much less resources to overload.
