30-40 at idle is fine. If you go above 60 degrees under load then you might want to get worried.

Ok so at FULL load 80 degrees for an AMD CPU is a dead way but for an Intel CPU it is completely NORMAL.
When you game the temps should stay below 60-65. If your CPU is at full load like Prime95, 80 degrees is a normal temperature. If it goes above 90 at FULL load then you got problems
