Hello everybody, (Hello Dr. Nick!),

I am new to the Community & Pc forums in general and would like to send greeting to everybody.
With this said, as the title says I am building my first PC.
After I researched for a while I realised that, I am going to save alot of my gold if I build it myself.
After a couple days of online studying about how to choose parts and put those parts together
I came up with this build:

- 4096MB MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4G Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16. € 354,49

- 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3-1600 DIMM CL8 Dual Kit. € 54,61

- Intel Core i5 4690K 4x 3.50GHz So.1150 BOX. € 236,97

- 120GB Samsung 850 Evo 2.5. € 64,61

- 1000GB Seagate Desktop HDD ST1000DM003 64MB. € 47,85

- MSI Z97 GAMING 5 Intel Z97 So.1150 Dual Channel DDR3 ATX. € 139,85

- Thermalright HR-02 Macho Rev.A (BW) Tower Kühler. € 36,94

- 2x Enermax T.B.Silence 120x120x25mm 900 U/min 11 dB(A) € 13,54

- 530 Watt be quiet! Pure Power L8 CM Modular 80+ Bronze € 69,85

- Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive Waermeleitkleber 7g € 11,19

- Thermaltake Commander MS-1 Snow Edition USB 3.0 € 40,67
__________________________________________________________
with a total of € 1070,57

Now my Questions to the mighty Computer Wizards:

1. Are all those parts compatible with each other?
2. Is anything missing or can i order it like that?
3. Do you have any concerns with this build?

Thank you to all those kind men and woman that will take the time to read and answer my questions
to help get me started with PC gaming. I will for always be in your debt. -AKN

Solution
SSD is a bit small, for my tastes. I would probably want at least a 240-256gb, at minimum. Coolermaster Hyper 212 evo is a good cooler choice, and may be a bit cheaper. I run the older 212 plus, on my 3570k. Case is typically a personal choice, as long as the case isn't crap, I tend to leave those alone, unless they are affecting performance, due to budget constraints. Use pcpartpicker, to make sure there will not be a height issue, with the cooler and case. Don't really need the Arctic Silver either. The cooler will come with its own thermal compound. The only real issue I had was the PSU. Everything else you picked are good choices.

Hi logainofhades, thank you for the quick answer!
So there are no other things you would change except the bigger power supply?
Lets say if you would order it for yourself would you switch out some things because of personal experience you made or made not with those parts and brands?
Sorry I really dont want to spend all that time and money if it is not 100% perfect :) -AKN

You don't want to use thermal adhesive, and the stock thermal paste with most modern CPU coolers is already high quality. You could drop that off your list.

How does the Thermalright cooler perform? I haven't seen any reviews for it and would recommend a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo or Xigmatek 128x DarkKnight instead.

Otherwise your build looks very good.

Thank you guys so much!
I am gonna check that there is no height issues.
And also give the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo a closer look.
Thanks for the tipp with pcpartpicker.
I am really glad that I joined the Tomshardware forum. Thanks again guys!

I do not think it is a bad cooler. Just the 212 Evo is pretty good, and cheaper.
