So this is my first build.. I have a asus z97-ar with Intel i7-4790k with stock heats ink and fan.. I don't think my other specs matter because they are running smooth but the case I have everything in is the nzxt s340 with just the stock fans that came with the case. When idling both bios and cpuid states that cpu is running at around 42c... now when I try to render a go pro video in the go pro program it spikes up to 90c. Do I need moreally fans or...?

First thing is check heatsink is on properly, not too tight to motherboard and straight. You might need to reapply thermal psste coz obviously those temps are too high the i7 is fairly hot but obviously not that hot
