I am currently running a gtx 780ti and am looking to switch from my T.V to a dual monitor setup. I want 1 monitor for gaming and another for things such as graphics design or watching things like youtube and movies. I don't have a budget to aim for but around $500 USD each or less would be nice.

Solution
This is a good gaming one, 144hz and 1ms:

And this is the cheaper but still very good other one, 60hz and 2ms:

And this is a pretty good cheap dual monitor stand that I can actually recommend, I've got it with 2 24" monitors on it and it can tilt them inwards to each other fairly deep:

The vg248qe seems like a nice gaming monitor, do you have any other recommendations for a multimedia/graphics design monitor to go with that? I read that IPS' are good for that.

Oh you mean IPS (You said youtube/movies which doesn't require a special monitor)
IPS gets fairly costly but can be worth it.

Just hope you're not secretly colorblind, getting the monitors properly calibrated for color is skilled ordeal.

Thank you for the fast answers, I think i'll go with the 2 vg248qe for now since like you pointed out, it is a skilled ordeal to calibrate the colors.

Look up a few articles on monitor calibration (tom's has done a few) if you want to really do graphic design knowing how to see the right colors is important.

Haven't started it yet, but I am going to school for it soon so I wanted a general idea of what to get in the near future.
