How many amps does a 650w psu need?

i have mixed up my psu power cable and my monitor cable. i have a 5amp plug and a 13amp plug, which ones is the for the power supply?

That's what i thought but after doing some research i read that 5amp are enough. Also doing this formula isn't 13amps too much? 650w/270v = 2.4amps

P.S. i could be talking shit as i have little knowledge of watts, voltages and amps.

In the US we use 110v for most things so if a PSU was actually pulling 650w that would be 5.9a. Using a cord rated higher is a good thing not bad. Most LCD monitors use very little power. For example my asus VG248QE uses 22w. You have 2 cables use the higher rated cable on the on the device with the highest draw.

I'm in the UK, so are you sure it's the same?

UK uses 220. That doesn't change the advice to use the higher rated cable on the device with the largest load.
