Hey people,
Long time lurker 1st time poster lol
I've got a power supply related question here.
I'm thinking of upgrading my cpu and gpu.
my setup is as follows:
Asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0 mobo
fx6300 cpu overclocked to 4.3ghz
gskill ripjawz 2133mhz ram running @ 1866
2x msi r9 270x gpus
corsair h105 cooler
3x 7200rpm 1tb hdds
1 120gb ssd
bitfenix recon fan controller
bluray r/rw
3 x 120mm led fans
4 x 120mm fans
Corsair cs750m psu.

And im thinking of upgrading to a fx8350 cpu and a sapphire r9 390x tri x 8gb card and im wondering if my psu would be okay or should i go to a 800-1000w psu just for the head room for overclocking the 8350?
Ive already been on a psu calculator and they dont have the r9390x on there yet

Any input would be great cheers,

Solution
Poor OEM.

Newegg reviews are proving that specific PSU to be extremely untrustworthy compared to it's competitors. Over half the people on newegg who have left reviews have said their has died or are having many issues
Never use a PSU calculator they're useless.

As for the PSU itself. The problem here is not the wattage but rather the fact that the unit you are currently using is not a great unit.

I suggest leaving room to crossfire the 390x in the future since it has a lot of VRAM. That being said, a 1100W PSU is a minimum for CF 390x's. Therefore a 1200W/1300W PSU would be best. https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-120g21300xr

If you just want to stick with the one card, gamble it with your current PSU, or get a higher quality one: https://pcpartpicker.com/parts/power-supply/
