Yes, it's a great motherboard. Some people say that the built-in mini fans can be a bit noisy, but they are completely optional. The motherboard does not have M.2 slots, but has SATA Express which can be used as dual SATA connectors for extra hard drives.

M.2 is a newer version of an ultra-fast PCI-E-based SSD that reads up to 10 Gb/s as opposed to 6 Gb/s on a standard SATA SSD. Most newer Z97 motherboards have them. SATA Express has the same speed, but M.2 SSDs are more common these days.
