So I recently got a second GTX 980, and want to SLI it with the one I currently have in my computer. However the motherboard I currently have is the ASRock Z77 Pro4 motherboard, and does not support SLI. There is nothing wrong with the motherboard, and I have been able to run a stable 4.5ghz OC on my i5-2500k for a little over three years now. Instead of completely upgrading I want to save the money, and just keep my old CPU and heatsink, as I have no issues with them at the moment. The only one I have been finding that would be a decent one would be the ASRock Z77 Extreme4 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293&cm_re=z77-_-13-157-293-_-Product), which is like mine but supports SLI. This one seems to be very high rated from what I can tell, but maybe there are some even better ones still out there. Suggestions? Also a noobish question I have, since I have had my current motherboard from the start, would I have to re overclock my CPU when I transfer it to the new board?

Solution
1- That is a great board , right now there are not much Z77 boards in the market
2- Yes you have to re overclock your cpu , good news is the Extreme4 has better overclocking that the pro4
