Do you guys know if this memory (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231571)(G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C9D-16GXH )
can work with a (Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan)(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099)
I saw this video, but I just want to check with other people.

Solution
It does around 3c better than the evo.

This is another test. If you look further down the list, the bequiet shadow rock 2 is about on par with a 212 evo for a rough comparison. The h7 does about 6c better in this test.

The 212 evo isn't a 'bad' cooler, it's just old and getting outdated. It wasn't designed for these newer cpu's or mobo layouts and there are more modern efficient designs around now.

It's going to depend on how far the memory sits from the CPU socket and which slots you'll be using for dual channel assuming your only going to have two stocks in total. The slots closets to the CPU there will not be enough clearance.

Does it matter what slots I put my ram in? Will there be a performance decrease if I put them farther away or anything like that?

What motherboard??

The 212 evo nearly always affects ram slot 4 (nearest CPU)

If your board has 4 slots & you have 2x ram sticks ,dual channel is always either slots 1&2 or slots 1&3 which means you'll be fine.

If you have a 2 slot board then you may be safer with lp ram such as Kingston hyperx or corsair xms3.

You also have the option of clipping the evo fan a little higher than normal above the ram if your case is wide enough to accommodate this (I've had to do this with 4 sticks of corsair dominator)

The cryorig h7 would alleviate this problem. About the same cost, cools a bit better than the 212 evo and doesn't suffer from an outdated design. Offset heatpipes mean you can use whatever ram you want in whichever slot you want with 0 interference.

It would help to know which motherboard. With the z97 motherboards there is some interference with the slot closest the cpu socket yes. The fan will slightly press against the ripjaws x. Gskill sniper, team zeus or other low profile ram (without the excessive ram sinks) will fit with no issue.

It is the GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK (rev. 1.0) LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128723)

It's the same layout as my board and it's what I suggested before. Either low profile ram for interference avoidance with the 212 evo or the cryorig h7 and use whatever ram you like. They're nearly the same cooler, however the h7 offset their heatpipes so the bulk of the cooler is shifted away from the ram some. That way there's room for the fan without any conflict.

Even with regular profile height ram in the next slot over from the cpu it was a bit of a pain clipping the fan onto the 212 evo. You can't mount it with the fan already installed, the fan's in the way of the two mounting screws on the right. The cooling tower has to be screwed down first, then the ram installed (before the cooling fan) then the fan mounted last. Had the cryorig h7 existed when I built one of my z97 systems I would have definitely chosen it over the 212 evo. Aside from decent cooling, the only thing the evo had going for it was on sale for like $18-20 at the time.

How does the h7 compare to the 212 evo in terms of cooling?
