Hey guys so I wanted to buy a pc for a while now but looking at the news about hardware and how hyped people are about some of the hardwares and technologies coming in 2016 is giving me second thoughts whether its okay to buy a new pc now or wait another year...

What i wanted to build is (only the main hardwares):
CPU: Core i7-4790k
GPU: R9 Fury X
RAM: 2x8Gb Gskill TridentX 2400Mhz

so the question is,Should I go for it or wait ?and how future-proof do you consider this setup(Playing on a 1080p 60hz Monitor)?

Thanks and sorry for my bad English.

For gaming their going to be very little difference in the processing power, about all their adding is better integrate graphics and DDR4 support.
If you wait then you wait, if I was looking to buy now I would have no regrets buying a 4790K or 4690K

What about GPU?

the newer stuff coming out will be on the high end of the pricing scale. so if you will be buying at the high end it may be worth it for you to wait for the new intel cpu's that are supposed to show soon. i'd expect these new cpu's to be well over $400 at the start and higher depending on the specs. (note i have nothing to back up this guess other than history of pricing for new chips....)

as for second gen 3D ram that won't be out for a long time yet so it's probably not worth factoring into a build right now. it may be an option next year as an upgrade but i don't think it will be out soon enough to impact a build in the next few weeks.

The general rule is: Buy it when you need it. Otherwise it can happen that you never stop waiting because there is always something better that may come out in the future.

If you want to wait for the true next gen, it will propably take over a year from now:
- Skylake will introduce DDR4, but apart from that I doubt it will increase CPU performance that much. You may take a look here: http://www.techbang.com/posts/24629-skylake-intrudes-ecs-z170-claymore-motherboard-measured-experience?page=2
apart from specialized tasks, the CPU-side of Cinebench is the prime indicator for game performance... around 3% more
- The first HBM2 card will propably also be 14nm parts, to be launched not before Q3/16, propably much later
- AMD's Zen could possibly be i viable option when it comes out, but again, not before Q4/16
