i wanted to know how much you could overclock a fx 6300 on stock cooler without damaging it for gaming can it reach 4.1GHz like advertized

Solution
That motherboard is not very good, but it should at least run at it's stock 4.1ghz turbo speed. At least sometimes.

You're not going to damage your cpu because the motherboard will throttle the clock speed down to safe levels if it starts to get too hot.

You will not be able to overclock at all even with a better cooler so don't bother.

The FX6300 has a stock turbo speed of 4.1ghz and should run at that speed when needed without overclocking. If you have a cheapo crap motherboard, it will likely have trouble running 4.1ghz and would certainly not be able to overclock at all. Overclocking with the stock cooler is not recommended.

The fact that the stock cooler is NOT recommended for overclocking should be warning enough. The stock cooler will ramp up speed based on heat automatically anyway and overclocking with naturally generate heat. So with all that being said will you damage your CPU? More than likely yes if you use the stock cooler regardless of how fast the fans fun.

1.so i cant even get a .1 ghz or 2 with my stock cooler
2. if not can someone tell me a cheap cooler that will be able to get 4.1 ghz

I was basing my comment on you wanting to overclock to 4.1Ghz however .1 or .2 should be fine but it's not really worth it since you will see 0 difference. I believe it's generally accepted that the Cooler Master Hyper 212 is the among the best budget CPU coolers you can get for normal and mid overclocking use. I have an 8320 clocked at 4.5Ghz using that cooler and based on reviews it's highly recommended for budget minded buyers.

I'm telling you that your motherboard is so bad, you wouldn't be able to overclock not matter what cooler you get. A Cooler Master 212 would actually make things worse because you need air to blow directly down onto your motherboard to even run the stock turbo speed.

1.ok i wont over clock but i havent build my computer yet so if anyone can tell me a 50$ mother board with the features like 760 Gma p34fx then i might look into it
2.when someone overclock the fx 6300 to 4.1 he got a 10 fps gain in advanced warfare is than ture

1. Gigabyte 78lmt-usb3 - decent little matx board - had a 6300@4.5ghz on one of these - old chipset/4 phase/sata 2 but good quality.
Gigabyte 970a-ds3p - better full sized 970 series board.

2. Quite likely- as cturbo says it does boost to 4.1 but dependant on motherboard quality & cooling this will only happen on cores 1-3 max while dropping speed on cores 4-6 - this boost function sometimes lowers performance while gaming (sudden frame drop) - I always disable it & clock the base clock manually - as said before you MUST get a decent board to do this - the 78lmt-usb3 is the ONLY really cheap board I would overclock on.
