my pc -hp pavilion dv6-7040tx 6gb ram win7 home premium(lan hardware-realtek PCIe family controller)
when i connect fiber optic cable to surf internet it lan doesn't recognize while ehernet wire works perfect. my friend's laptop with win7 ultimate having same realteck PCIe works well with optic cable
*****what is the problem with my pc please let me know

Don't worry, plenty of us have done that before - it's common to think that plugging in a fiber connector to your ethernet jack is all that is needed.. unfortunately it is much more complex.

TLDR; this will not work since one is a copper based transmission medium and the other is light based.
