Call of Duty 2, Win 7 x64, Patch 1.3 Problem

Hello everybody. I am experiencing strange issue. I have original CoD2, version 1.2. When I apply 1.3 patch, it's completed successfully, but when I run the game, it says it's still version 1.2. Reinstalling patch is not possible, as installer says it's already been installed. I am pretty sure I did not have this problem couple years ago. Tried to install it like admin, in different folder, from dvd, from iso image, fresh win install...I really don't know, what else to try. Any ideas? :) Cheers.

reading this I wonder see its just fixes multi player if that is only revised ?? s.p may just stay at its last patch where it looks like 1.2 is not listed for windows here ??

this may just cover the server program and mp maps and not affect any of the single player ??

unless you want to do a fresh install of the game and try a patch download from another place to se if the first on was not a bad download in some way ??

I tried the 1.3 patch on Windows ThinPC and it worked well. After patch game correctly showed v 1.3. I also tried download it multiple times from different sources and result on Win 7 x64 is the same. Game does not recognize the patch.
