Internet only stays connected for a few minutes

Hello, I am having a really bad and annoying problem. The other day me and a friend were playing csgo when he started to lag and got offline. Then the same thing happened to me. The same thing happened to us, the Internet on the computer wouldn't work but the WiFi worked perfectly. So now when I turn on my computer I have internet only for a few minutes then it disconnects, but the weird thing is that if I disconnect the ethernet and plug it back in. I get my Internet back again for a few minutes, It's really annoying. I don't think it's my ethernet because I've tried another and the same thing keeps happening. If anyone out there can help me, that would be great. THANKS

Knowing what components are being used would help but Asus has told me they do not support WiFi and Ethernet at the same time and that one has to be disabled in Device Manager

Did you try using either ethernet or WiFi one at a time.

Of course, always reboot your modem, router, etc with all connected devices shut down (desktops, tablets, laptops, phones) turned off before troubleshooting

Again.... the recommended troubleshooting step is:

a) Turn off WiFi in Device Manager when running Ethernet
b) Turn off Ethernet in Device Manager when running WiFi

Also rebooting your modem / router may not be effective if ** any** connected devices are still on the network and retaining their IP addresses.

After those are out of the way, we can try something else.
