How To Check Windows 8.1 Product Keys

I have various Windows 8.1 product keys because I've helped build computers for friends. Is there any way for me to easily identify which version of Windows (Pro/Standard) each key is, and if the key is currently in use?

"Currently in use" ? I don't think so.
What is not in use now, may be in use 5 minutes from now.

If you've built the PC's, installed the OS and activated it, why do you still have the license keys? That is part of the transfer process and requirements...to give the new owner the license key, COA, etc.
So if they have it, you should not have it any more.
