Hi!

I'm going to build my first gaming pc around the end of august and would like your honest opinion on my build:

- Case: NZXT s340 black/blue
- CPU cooling: Enermax ETS-T40 Black Twister
- CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k
- Motherboard: Asus Z97-A
- PSU: Seasonic G-750
- RAM: Kingston HyperX 8 GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1866 (black & blue)
- SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB
- HDD: WD blue 1TB
- GPU: GTX 980ti gigabyte g1 gaming
- Front fans: 2x Corsair Air Series AF140 LED Blue Quiet Edition

I also plan on buying the Asus rog swift PG279Q monitor when it comes out.
I would like to play games at 1440p/144Hz with this setup.
If you haven't guessed it: I like this build to have an overall nice black/blue appearance.
Is this a viable build or do you guys see any room for improvement without driving up the cost too much?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Pretty good. My thoughts are below...

CPU Cooler - Skip the Enermax. Look toward the Noctua NH-D14 or D15, or the budget oriented Hyper 212 EVO.
MEM - Changed to GSKILL ARES modules which are low latency being DDRe-1866 CL9. They are still black on blue.
SSD - The 850 EVO is a great choice, but sticking with your color theme the Crucial MX100 / MX200 / BX200 are good options as well.
PSU - Good unit, however 750w puts you in overkill mode for a single GTX 980 Ti and not enough power for a for a pair in SLI. Look toward a 650w unit (single GPU) or 1000w unit (dual GPUs).
CASE - The s340 is OK, but check out the Blackhawk-Blue below.

Thanks for your response!
Good advice on the psu: I think i'll stick with one gpu, so the 650w is a better choice.
Also a nice case you recommended, but I still prefer the NZXTs metal structure.
Can you tell me why the enermax cooler isn't good? Because to me it looks better (black/blue theme) than the noctua. I'm still in doubt over which kind of cpu cooler I should get: air or closed water loop. I just want one that can keep my system cool when overclocking, fits the s340 case and has a nice blue led light/black and blue color.
