Installing Sevice Packs Question

Hello, I have an Acer laptop and recently used the recovery partition to return it to factory settings. This put the laptop before service pack 1. Do I have to install service pack 1 before 2 or can I just Install service pack 2?

Well a new issue has occurred. It it installed updates and it now sees service pack 1 on windows update but it won't install it. Each time windows updates finds it is about a 2 meg file and install instantly and says it was successful but finds it again when checking for updates. Thoughts?
