Hello everybody, I have a quick ( hopefully ) question for you, hoping you could help me make the correct decision :

I want to buy a new GPU, precisely http://gpuboss.com/graphics-card/Radeon-R9-270X

My question is : how do I know it will be compatibly with my current setup? I don't want to buy a
GPU that I won't be able to even insert into the board..

My current GPU is http://gpuboss.com/graphics-card/ASUS-Radeon-HD-6570.

What other specs would you need to help me find a solution, if any, just ask, I really have no experience with parts :(

Thank you in advance,
Ivan

There is no compatibility issue with modern graphics cards, they all use a PCI-e X16 slot on the motherboard, so any card can fit any board. The only issue is when trying to put a very powerful GPU on an old board as there can be bottleneck issues that slows the GPU down. As the 270X is not one of those really powerful modern GPUs (it's still a nice GPU), compatibility really isn't an issue unless your computer is quite old (more than 4 years).
The only other thing is the power connector, does your PSU have the connector you need? It will require a PCI-e power cable from your PSU.

As far as I am aware this CPU is $370 on Amazon : http://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-2600-Quad-Core-Processor-Cache/dp/B004EBUXSU

and the 270X is is around $200 in my currency.

Thanks for the tip tho, what do you mean by "back of the case"?

Thanks for the detailed list, could you give me a suggestion on what PSU in particular would be good? If you can, give me the simplest, cheapest one that I would need and one in the price range of 100-150$ to compare! Thanks for the awesome help so far!

I was trying to make a point that you dont want to go super expensive on some but cheap on others, I also wanted to see the expansion slots to see something...
