Hello there,

For info, this is my first build

I purchased the Corsair 300R windowed edition mainly for it's nice clean look and notable easy setup, including the inbuilt standoffs which should look as such:

[I'm Not embedding images for easier reading]

However, this is not how mine looks, in fact I cannot find any pictures of how mine look so I took my own, please see the below:

I'm confused by this as to me, these look like they're there for inserting the old brass coloured standoffs however the case did not come with any and by looking at any commercial pictures, reviews and otherwise material of the case, it shows it having the raised 'bump' style standoffs.

Could someone with better knowledge of this please let me know if these are indeed, as I suspect, slots for standoffs or if not, what are they?

If they are not standoffs then can you provide any insight as to why my case is different? It did come from Amazon via the Corsair seller (top listed).

Thank you very much,

All help is highly appreciated,

From those picks it looks like they changed from the nipple to regular standoffs In your last picture I can clearly see the standoffs, their threaded and screwed into the mounting holes.
Note where it says A and M if you have a regular ATX board you use the points that say A of you have a micro ATX motherboard you use where it says M.
You should only use what you need for your motherboard type. (you can unscrew them and reinstall them in the holes you need.

I'm not too sure that I understand what you mean about unscrewing them, they're fixed in position (without a tool) which is highly strange...

I think I may have to wait for Corsair to respond to my ticket :/

That's what I assumed but it still doesn't explain why on earth I seem to have the only Corsair Carbide 300R without inbuilt standoffs .-.

"specifications are subject to change without notice" seems to be a standard disclaimer.
in english, that means "if we can save 0.2 cents in the manufacturing department, and another 0.2 cents by not publicising our cost-cutting measures, then that's more profit for us. oh, and nearly forgot, screw you, customers, you're a secondary concern"

Ha, feels like it's that way - I know they state that but they must then update their information on the product (which wasn't done). I'm sure had this been a random change they would have at least provided the standoffs? Corsair is a big brand in this industry if I'm not mistaken and doing what they've done (or how it looks) is image crushing :/
