When I'm running League of Legends , have 14+ tabs open Google Chrome or am running the furmark stress test my screen loses connection, I hear a loud grating sound and everything else seems to be running fine the fans are on. After I shut my computer down and turn it on again I get a message on my screen saying please power down and connect the pcie power cable for this graphics card. On the event viewer it says it is related to kernel-power 41 bugcheck code 278.

Solution
That's a GPU driver issue. Have you done a clean uninstall/resinstall? I'd recommend using http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html to uninstall, then make sure you download the most up-to-date driver from the Nvidia website. Here's the link for your GPU driver http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/86504/en-us

Your wiring looks fine, although the PCI cable sort of looks like it's not pushed in all the way. Maybe it's just the angle though, but it doesn't look flush against the connection.

I have connected it, this error only presents itself after the screen has lost connection. I then turn off the computer and am presented with this message. The computer has still shut down and after checking my event log it shows as kernel-power 41 bugcheck code 278 as a critical errror , this is always preceded by a warning \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&daba3ff&1

crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\071815-5163-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: nvlddmkm.sys (nvlddmkm+0x833128)
Bugcheck code: 0x116 (0xFFFFFA80073584E0, 0xFFFFF880050FB128, 0xFFFFFFFFC000009A, 0x4)
Error: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\nvlddmkm.sys
product: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 353.30
company: NVIDIA Corporation
description: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 353.30
Bug check description: This indicates that an attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: nvlddmkm.sys (NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 353.30 , NVIDIA Corporation).

This is what I get after running who crashed

I did the DDU uninstall and downloaded a driver version which seemed more stable 350.12 and no problems since then ran the furmark test for 20 minutes, watched videos and played a whole game of league and it seems stable now.
