Hello. I have a Cougar case which has bumps instead of motherboard spacers. This site says one should "tape up the bumpers to insulate them" before screwing the motherboard to it. Is that something necessary?

Also, this cougar case comes with 2 motherboard "footholds", a brass-looking thingie that can go in 2 holes without bumps..., but the mobo has no holes for those, are they just for support or what? And is it necessary to use those? Kind of a beginner question, but still. Thanks a lot.
Btw, my board is ATX, h97, but has only 6 screw-holes. Most other atx-boards I see (like z87/97) have 8, is that normal or? Perhaps h97 is just smaller in size.
