r7 240 4gb ddr3 or 1gb ddr5

Hi good pm

im using amd a8 7600 with 8gb ram 1600mhz cl11 1.5v
im planning to buy a GPU and i was kinda confused about the frequency ( 4 ddr3 or 1 gddr5 )
for dual graphic purpose ( A series capability )

ive seen some forums that saying it must be balance or it will give your bottleneck please enlighten me

1GB ddr5. DDR5 is much, much faster than any amount of ddr3 RAM. What specific graphics card are you wanting to get?

the R7 240 is terrible even crossfired. It comes with DDR3 RAM which is slow go with something like a 270x. Also, The APU You have is decently good and shouldn't give you a lot of bottleneck

R7 260X and R7 265 are WAY better. They should be about the same price, and the 265 is the better of the two.

Definitely go for the R7 260X. It is a much faster graphics card. And even if it has less memory than the R7 240, it will still destroy it in gaming. Go for the R7 260X>
