Intel(R) USB3.0 eXtebsible Host controller. My motherboard has this listed under its USB drivers. I have the Asus VII Formula board. My USB 3 ports all work on the motherboard and the chassis mounted USB 3 ports. Do I need to install this driver too? Are they maybe only working in USB 2.0 mode right now until I install this driver? I had problems before with my Chassis USB 3 ports where my iPhone wouldnt charge off them. It would just disconnect and reconnect continuously. USB drives would work with them yet though. Right now I reinstalled my OS and they are all working fine but I'm wondering if I still need this and if this may have cause my iPhone to charge like that before.

Thank you all for any help!

If you run Windows 7, yes you need it. If you run Windows 8+ and it shows as not installed, then something is wrong, because Windows 8+ doesnt need extra USB 3.0 drivers and installs them automatically.
Yes install it, will normally give you better support and performance, to charge the iPHone properly you should also have Asus USB Charger+ installed and make you you don't connect up to the Asmedia secondary USB controller.
